Equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic, surgical, and post-operative care facilities, the KKEI is designed to be a center of excellence reinforcing our commitment to accessible and free eye care.

Kalyanam Karoti Mathura, led by founder Vimal Kumar Sharma, has been serving the visually impaired and underprivileged in Uttar Pradesh for decades. The KKEI will serve the districts of Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Aligarh, Kasganj, Firozabad, Etah, and Bharatpur with a combined population of over 20 million.

A grand inaugural ceremony in Mathura

The grand inauguration by UP CM Yogi Adityanath was a momentous occasion, graced by esteemed donors Uma and Ramesh Ganatra, Asha and Adish Jain, Bindu and Nayan Dalal, as well as SEF USA’s Board members and volunteers, among others. The ceremony was also attended by renowned dignitaries, including Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, who praised SEF, USA for its commitment to eliminating curable blindness.

Philanthropist and major donor, Nayan Dalal, shared his thoughts on philanthropy and choosing SEF, USA. He said, “Today, I am in Mathura, Vrindavan, witnessing firsthand the incredible hospital that Sankara Eye Foundation, USA has built in collaboration with Kalyanam Karoti. The level of diligence and commitment they bring to their work is truly remarkable. This is why we chose Sankara - they have a solid foundation, a powerful vision, and most importantly, the ability to turn generosity into real change.”
